ABOUT THE CLUB

Established in 1961, Walbrook is an open club to Juniors, Seniors and Masters’ rowers. Our Club colours are Black, Yellow and Green and we are proud to have an excellent fleet of both sculling and rowing boats for the member’s use.

We meticulously maintain and upgrade the fleet to ensure our members get the best. In support of the “on-the-water” coaching we offer, we have four club coaching launches and access to several more. For scullers who own their own boat we have racking space available for full club members. There is a separate fee for racking space payable to Teddington Watersports Centre.

FACILITIES

No rowing club would be complete without a well-equipped gym on site. We are proud of the facilities which include numerous Concept2 ergometers, 2 separate free weights rooms and circuit training machines.

The clubhouse boasts a comfortable bar and dining area, giant TV, excellent kitchen and large balcony overlooking the site and river Thames.

One of the highlights after early weekend outings is the well earned coffee and cakes, served at 10am on a Saturday morning.

Walbrook members can be seen out on the water and training throughout the week, but weekend mornings the busiest. Training varies throughout the year but senior rowers tend to use the gym and ergos on Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursdays with circuits organised on Mondays and Wednesdays. At the weekends Seniors and Masters are out on the water early on Saturday and Sunday mornings.
