How to: Get British Rowing Membership
Here is a quick 'How To' guide to help you get 'British Rowing' membership for your athletes. The benefits of membership include:
- 3rd party and personal insurance arranged by the National Governing Body
- A race licence allowing you to race at any 'British Rowing' affiliated event
- 9 issues of 'Rowing & Regatta' Magazine per year
Membership normally comes through in about 1 week but please don't leave it to the last minute!!! All members wishing to race will require membership.
There are 2 options for obtaining a membership for new members (existing membership should receive renewal information through the post):
Option A: Online
Go to: http://www.britishrowing.org/membership Take a look then click on 'Sign up for Membership'. And follow the process. It does take a little bit of effort but can be done this way.
Option B: Snail mail
Fill out a British Rowing membership form -
http://www.britishrowing.org/membership/forms
and send it off with the required membership fee.
Membership fees:
Depending upon the date of birth of your athlete, most juniors will obtain their first year's 'British Rowing' membership for free.
MARCH 2012 - DUE TO CHANGES IN THE REGISTRATION DATABASE AT BRITISH ROWING AFFECTING JRNs (Junior Rowing Names) THE FOLLOWING IS NOW CORRECT:-
Option A: indicates that you should choose WALBROOK ROWING CLUB as your Primary Club with WALBROOK TEDDINGTON SCHOOLS as your second club. THIS IS NOW CORRECT.
